Snowfall is most common in the months of December through February. The mountain ranges get more snow in the higher elevations, and this provides great skiing conditions.

Ride On the Sheridan Trolley
Take a chartered trip on the Sheridan Trolley year round. The trolley buses currently in use are replicas of the actual trolley cars used in our railway company during the years 1911-1926.
The two trolley buses are handicap accessible and are available for chartered trips 24/7/365. The cost is $110 dollars per hour with a minimal booking of two consecutive hours.

Go Skiing or Snowboarding At a Nearby Mountain Resort
Sheridan, Wyoming is home to the Big Horn Mountain Range. Cross-country skiers will find miles of trails in Willow Park and Pole Creek. Downhill skiers will find great skiing accommodations at Antelope Butte Ski Area and Meadowlark Ski Lodge. These resorts also have snowboarding available.

Visit a Historic Museum
The Trail End State Historic Site was an early 20th century cattle ranch which turned into a museum. It contains many of the original furnishings and belongings of the family who resided there. It is actually closed to the public December 15 through March 31. If you travel here to Sheridan before or after those dates for some winter fun, or during any other season, we would love to host your visit.

Our historic Sheridan Inn has been a key landmark in Sheridan, Wyoming since 1893. In our first years, it was home to the legendary Buffalo Bill, a.k.a. Colonel William F. Cody. We have hosted parties, banquets, weddings, and travelers since we first opened.
