Plus, it just so happens to be a great place for you and your family to spend a vacation.

The Inn offers a comfortable, rural design with a hint of Wild West fantasy, blending modern amenities with notable features and amenities. Whether you are an international traveler passing through town or a regional couple looking to add something new to your vacation, come by and see what the rave reviews are all about.
Just Passing Through
If you are only planning a day trip to the area, we suggest you give yourself plenty of time to explore all that the Inn has to offer. Trust us, there is so much to see—we would hate for you to miss any of it!
The first stop you should make is the first floor lobby. Still largely intact with the original beams, columns, fireplace, and front desk from the late 1800s, you will feel like you just stepped back in time to the Old West. The restored decorative paint scheme of the room shows the original plaster ceiling, floor covering, lighting, and furniture. There are also many historical displays and photographs that represent the early history of the historic hotel and the many sides of Buffalo Bill.
After exploring the lobby, feel free to roam the grounds around the Inn. Step outside and soak up the beautiful scenery that surrounds Sheridan. After that, finish the day by sipping some hot cocoa on our famous front porch. This area of the Inn boasts centuries-old architecture and wraps around the north, south, and east elevations. The porch was even a favorite spot of Buffalo Bill himself!

When you choose to stay with us, you can choose from 22 various themed and newly-renovated rooms. If you decide to leave your room to explore the local area, Sheridan, Wyoming offers many exciting attractions. The most popular, outside the Inn itself of course, is Bighorn National Forest, situated only a short distance from the hotel. Overflowing with natural beauty, the mountain landscape has provided resources for Native American settlements, frontier explorers, and traveling homesteaders for centuries. Nestled between the Powder River and the Big Horn Basins, recreational activities are available all year.
