Join us at the Historic Sheridan Inn

events-4Crowds gathered on the front lawn of the Sheridan Inn in the summer of 1893 and watched in awe as the first electric lights in Sheridan flickered on, illuminating the Inn’s 69 gabled windows. The Inn offered adventurous travelers a taste of luxury in the Wild West. Through the years, the Inn has been a hub of activity, offering visitors and locals everything from the town’s first bathtubs to elegant New Year’s Eve balls.

Today, the Inn remains a center of community activity, hosting many public events to entice travelers and entertain locals. Check our calendar often for upcoming events. Who knows? Buffalo Bill might drop in, too.

    Sheridan Inn Hotel Reviews

    • 5 star review  I love the way they have kept the historic feel and significance of this inn and at the same time made it comfortable with all the amenities of a fine hotel! The bed was comfortable the bathroom was roomy and very clean and I really enjoyed the clawfoot tub! If you need anything for your room that isn't in it already the front desk is very happy to get it for you. We asked for ice, wine glasses, and a corkscrew 🙂

    • 5 star review  Sheridan Inn had a lot of history in one place. With no TV's, it was easy for the family to play board games that were in the rooms and each of the common areas per floor. You often run into other guests in those areas for interesting conversations. We had several rooms, one had a claw foot bath and the other room has a stand up shower only. Some people might want to request one over the other. One of our rooms had issues with AC and it was quickly resolved by the staff. There are no microwaves or refrigerators in the rooms. So don't bring back left overs to the room and expect to store and reheat then later. This was not a problem for us. The included morning breakfast was a bit sparse for selection, but suitable for a quick bite. Other more breakfast purposed places in town are within walking distance and better for a full breakfast experience. I recommend snacking at the inn, but eating elsewhere.

    • 5 star review  Me and my father stayed here while on a business trip. Not only were they competitively priced, the inn itself is amazing. There's a charm unlike any other hotel I've been in. We were told they just renovated the rooms and it was certainly worth it. The rooms are beautiful and clean, and surprisingly quiet. I couldn't hear any traffic from outside. There was a connection available for a TV but no TV attached, which didn't bother me or my father, but it's something to be noted. The front desk attendant was friendly, and the continental breakfast was nice. We were told there was a falling out between the restaurant/bar (owner?) and the inn owner, so the restaurant was closed the night we were there, but it didn't bother us. We weren't planning on eating there anyways. The pictures around the hotel are fun to look at and show various stages of the inn's history, along with each room coming with information about Wyoming icons who have history with the inn. I highly recommend taking a bath in their claw-foot bathtubs. I had one when I was growing up and forgot just how nice they are. The only thing I think could make this nicer is glass water glasses, but that's only if they wanted to get REALLY fancy. I wouldn't recommend young children (under the age of 6). It's not that the hotel is bad for children, but rather the atmosphere and overall feel of the inn is probably boring (for them), unless the child is highly interested in history. We had a great stay and we highly recommend this place. I plan on coming back here when I go vacationing in Northern Wyoming.

    • 5 star review  The staff was friendly and made us feel at home. We arrived on a quiet evening so the woman behind the front desk showed us the historic bar (closed temporarily) and gave us a tour of the ladies social room and the ballroom. Afterwards we enjoyed fresh baked cookies by the fire and read up on Buffalo Bill.
